Sok Chamroeun (JB) founder of JB Tours (JBT) grew up in a poor rural area, as many Cambodian's of his generation did. This was during the time when Pol-Pot and the Khmer Rouge were still fighting a civil war within the country. There were few schools or formal education systems in place for Cambodians, and as he grew older he had to struggle to receive what education and opportunities he could.
Working hard for many years JB managed to build himself a career in the tourism industry and through effort and diligence finally founded his own company, JBT. Realising that some of the problems he faced (lack of facilities and transportation) are still present for a vast proportion of Cambodia’s rural youth, he knew his business venture was not yet complete and felt a desire to do what he could to help.
This led JB to form the JB Foundation (JBF) in conjunction with his tour company JBT. 15% of all profits from tours are put into projects with the JBF.
